Scrimali is Associate Professor of Operations Research at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Catania. She teaches in the B.S. and Master programs in Mathematics, and in the Master programs in Computer Science.

She is member of AIRO (Italian Society of Operations Research), GNAMPA (Italian Society of Analysis, Calculus of Probabilities and Applications), EURO (Association of European Operational Research Societies), EWG EUROPT (The Continuous Optimization Working Group of EURO).
